As we close out 2024, it’s clear this has been a strong year for conservative values here in Australia and beyond.
A key moment was the rejection of the Voice referendum. Australians stood by the principles of equal representation, reaffirming our commitment to unity. This was a turning point, showing the nation’s belief in protecting our shared democratic values.
In Queensland, the Liberal National Party’s win in the state election continued this momentum. Voters rejected the dysfunctional status quo under Labor—an encouraging sign for the path ahead.
The re-election of President Donald Trump in the United States is a clear sign of cultural pushback from everyday people—those tired of being dismissed or ignored. It reflects a growing movement that’s challenging progressive overreach, and this shift is already being felt here in Australia.

A standout highlight of the year was the CPAC Conference in Brisbane. With over 1,000 attendees, the event was our largest yet. It was an honour to welcome former UK Prime Minister Liz Truss, whose speech challenged us to reflect on the future of Western democracies. The energy in the room was incredible—a clear sign of the growing movement here at home.
Looking to 2025, we must keep this momentum going. The upcoming federal election is critical. It’s a chance to elect leadership that truly reflects Australian values—personal responsibility, freedom, and opportunity.
We’re also excited to announce that plans for the CPAC 2025 conference are already underway. Stay tuned for details in the new year—we can’t wait to catch up with all of you again.
Let’s continue the conversations, engage with our communities, and focus on what matters. Together, we can make a real difference.
Wishing you all a joyful festive season and a bright year ahead ๐
Yours in liberty,
Warren Mundine AO
